THE DAY WE BECAME BIG KIDS

a little bit before it was our time to walk out, a lady said that we were going to walk together! (because we thought we weren't going to be able to) so for the next 4 minutes we were practicing a handshake to do at the T. we had it down! our hands were turning red, we were practicing so much. then once we got up there, taryn got stage fright and knocked her hat off.. then taylor almost knocked hers off.. (queue twin moment #209348) 

be prepared for a sea of forest green and navy blue cap & gowns..

and (due to a graduation ceremony that started at 7:30) poor quality photos.

now, off to being responsible adults and stuff..

WAHOO!

taylor got in to Utah State! step 1 of our college experience is complete! we are seriously so excited, but so sad at the same time.. we have been blessed to have such an awesome high school experience filled with lots of friends & lots of memories. gracias, world!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WEEK ON, WEEK OFF..

#1 - the st. george baseball tournament was the bomb.

warm weather + good food = 4 happy girls.
the team did so good! they played in the championship.

#2 - we were both planning on going to the boyce avenue concert last night, 

but found out that there were zero tickets left.. (who knew they were that popular?)

taryn got lucky & bought a ticket last minute from a friend who got called in to work.

 

after waiting in line for what felt like 32145 hours in the freezing cold 

& being creeped on by a homeless man named "los with the most", we finally made it in!

the after party & secondhand serenade started the night off...

everyone was soo good! honestly, some of the best live performances i've ever witnessed.

boyce avenue even sang my favorite cover of theirs Fast Car by Tracy Chapman, 

(which started the obsession)

but the real party began after we were done being smooshed by 

drunk SLC-ers trying to get to the bar, & we met some of the performers!

so all of these guys were just loving the fact that there were plenty of girls

screaming at them, hugging, begging them for autographs/pictures etc..

well korinne & sydney got pictures with alan before we met back up with them,

so the rest of us set out on a quest to do the same.

while we were sitting there in a circle, waiting for someone to make the first move,

the lead singer from the after party kept catching me staring at him.. 

talk about r-word tingles!

well we eventually all took pictures with him and it was great.

then he came back later and was talking with us & i could not stop laughing.

i don't know why.. maybe it's cause this kid is totally famous 

& he's totally talking to us? yeah, that's it.

one thing lead to another & somehow this happened...

SATURDAY WAS A SPECIAL DAY..

the day began bright & early when we went to the school for a yummy breakfast.

the girls basketball team was playing in the state championship. they won!

then we raced home at 4 o' clock, & had to be ready by 4:30
to meet our group for preference.

talk about sour attitudes & stress! (just ask our mom & sisters)

none-the-less, we made it. and the dance was one of the funnest dances ever!

p.s. we're super photogenic.
& all the faces below describe the emotions of the day.

we rented the people water bus (big screen & bass included)
so we could all ride together & it was a party!

a bunch of senior girls decided it would be fun to go in one big group,
so that's what we did! & it really was a buh-last.

preference 2012 was definitely one for the books.

{1} your family totally spoils you more than necessary..

{2} your best friends treat you to dinner, ice cream, & a movie....

{3} you have a cake & ice cream partaaay with your friends....

{4} your fam throws another party for you.... 2 cakes for 2 girls....

{5} you grow another year older & another year wiser!

we are soo blessed to have good people like you in our lives.

(sorry we've been slacking. i would say "WE'RE BACK!" but that's quite the opposite...

we're off to california with our sisters to meet [hopefully] some of our favorite celebs!)
