APRIL 1ST

a year ago i made a last minute decision to try out for student council.. something i thought i would never do. after a lot of time and hard work, i made it! a year ago today is the day i found out. having my name be called out & on the roll out poster was honestly one of the most rewarding feelings ever, & i will never forget that.

as if you don't know already (& from the pictures) i'm a very emotional person. well, a couple days ago was when the student council for 2012-2013 was announced. performing the skits & announcing the new people was probably one of thee worst feelings ever. IT SUCKED actually! it was rough seeing people's faces who didn't make it.. especially the one's i thought would. (i may or may not have cried for them....) 

but, i am excited! doing student council was one of the best decisions i have ever made! (even though the mockery from my friends will never end) & i know next years council will be killer because of the people who made it & there are some killer people who should be on cabinet. (fingers & toes crossed)

on april 1st, not only did taryn find out that she made student council...

our baby rowan was born!!

this little girl just makes us happier...

little rowan girl,

we can't believe that you are one already! time just flew by. we still remember being so sad that your mom was in the hospital, about to have you & we couldn't come up because of taryn's student council stuff. we tried to get out of it, but that just didn't happen. we wanted to hold your little, perfect body soo badly! we remember getting a picture of your cute little face & being so excited that you were here.. a niece! don't get us wrong, your boy cousins are the best, too.. but you're a girl. we can play dress up when you're older & have slumber parties & talk about boys, & do nails & all that jazz. we raced up to logan the next morning & spent the whole day with you. you are the most entertaining baby. we could sit & stare at you all day & never get bored, seriously. the silly faces you make, your big, brown eyes, the way you smell, your laugh.. everything about you just makes us happy! we don't know if we can ever love a little girl as much as we love you. your mom said once that she doesn't think anyone can make you laugh harder than us... the feeling is mutual, little :) the song Never Grow Up - Taylor Swift reminds us of you. you're our widda! we want you to stay the little, perfect girl that you are now. but, we also can't wait to see what a beautiful girl you become, rowan. we love you forever!

i always know summer is approaching because sky's birthday parties always start it off just right. we've known this girl since 7th grade and have been so tight ever since. {we were voted "best friends forever" for famous faces in 9th grade. holla!} we became so close because of student council, but mostly in10th grade. no doubt the roughest year, but we got through it together. words can't even describe how many inside jokes and good memories we've had. no matter what happens, i will always consider sky one of my best friends.

ode to mom!

today is mom's birthday! HOLLA.

our mom is simply the best. she is an incredibly talented woman. she's sort of like king midus, everything she touches turns to gold! no one can even begin to compare to her, she's just that good with everything she does. she is known and loved by so many people, especially in the wedding business. she's been featured on good things utah a number of times, can turn anything into a song & runs the floral shop at thanksgiving point. she's gone through soooo much & still puts all her trust & faith in the Lord. she's one of the strongest people that we know. one of our favorite things about her is that she can turn anything into a gospel related subject & isn't afraid to bare her testimony, no matter where she is.

wait... a birthday? another one? yuuup, ms. tori ware :) tori is THE NICEST person ever. she's so sweet to e.ver.y.one. i don't understand how she does it. she's like the female version of tanner marsh- she knows everything without being too nosey. people trust her & that such a hard thing to find- especially in high school. thanks for being such a great example to us tor!

she had a party today & we were only able to stay for about.. well.. 8 minutes. (we're shaking our fists at basketball practice, which by the way, was not fun today. the lady days make it hard to enjoy doing things that have the words running, or energy because we all know those words make the cramps worse)

all happy birthdays aside..

today was rather.. overwhelming. (which is a common occurance when it's that time of the month) the alarm didn't go off in time. i didn't get to eat breakfast. the weather is wayyy too cold outside. breaking news on the latest drama at THS... w-o-w is all i can say. i can't think straight when trying to learn the other teams plays.. its difficult when we already have to remember 30+. people try to correct me & it just makes me mad. {that big lump formed in my throat. you know, the kind you get when you're sitting in the movie theatre watching the sad movie but you just don't want anyone to see you crying..}

but also

sar told me i looked way cute even though i got ready in 16 minutes this morning. brother christiansen taught a comforting lesson in seminary. medical anatomy, need i say more? having dad make me & tay pb&j sammies & eating lunch with him in his classroom. watching tate play with his friends in daycare. mrs. thomas putting my photo in the art show & telling me how well i did on the shooting assignment. playing with sar & ker, oh how i'm excited to reconnect with them in 2 weeks! going to tori's party and honking at the trillions more guests we see on our way out. rachelle talking to herself when she missed her freethrow. going to the mall & just being crazy with tay! mom bringing us dinner & listening to us complain about school & (cough cough) certain teachers. picking up brooks from work. sky.

i guess this is the post you get when my hormones are going wild. -tar

another year older, another year wiser.

the birthday started off with sky taking us to the mall for a gift & then pizza factory for desert. you can never go wrong with cinnamon twist bread sticks with cream & a chocolate chip never on sundae. the birthday day started off with a lovely kidnapping from sarah & kerbi. they made us the best breakfast! later the whole fam came over & we opened presents & hung out for awhile. kerbi & sarah picked us up for some ice cream followed by a suprise party (well... sorta party) at sky's. the basketball girls saved us and we drove around with them for a little bit before returning back to our off-the-hook party.

we have the best friends and family ever!! thanks for making it the best birthday yet :)
