breaking dawn part one... {part one}

since we're fairly confident that blogger would crash if we posted ALL the pic's we have from our little trip, we've decided to break it up into two posts...

the first being

TENT CITY

the happiest place on earth

(no, seriously)

we showed up in LA,  (in the middle of the night thanks to our little detour we took in vegas at the H&M...love it!) not really knowing what to expect. we knew they were handing out wristbands at 6am, but that was pretty much the extent of our knowledge. however, we were ready for anything! lindsay had her running shoes on & was on the prowl, ready to pounce when something big happened. after hours of scouting out the competition and worrying about EVERYTHING, we finally got the wristbands that guaranteed us a spot at the premiere. and no one even got hurt in the process... :)

SUMMITT closed down what seemed to be all of downtown LA, to create this little universe in which the very bravest and most dedicated twilight fans were to reside for the next 4 days. this is TENT CITY... 

after we set up camp, (took a while because the tent we brought was too big, so we had to run and buy a new one. actually our new friend beverly ran all over town to find one for us. love ya bev.) we came to the conclusion, we didn't hold a candle to our fellow campers. i mean, we thought we were twi-hards.  we LOVE the books and have read them a million times. we LOVE the movies and have been at every midnight showing and then waited in the nasty wal-mart lines in the middle of the night to be the first to OWN the new release on DVD. for heavens sake, we left our lives in utah attend the world wide premiere of the second to last movie. that should count for something right? wrong. we are definitely not twihards, we are but mere fans in comparison. these people live, eat, and breath twilight. some a little too much. 

So, not to be completely outdone, we got to work.

made t-shirts, check.

made posters, check.

decorated our tent, check.

embraced the crazy, double check.

we soon realized that tent city was as much for publicity as it was anything else.

we, along with all the other campers, became local celebrities being interviewed by all

the local media. and who wouldn't want to be on camera after camping for four days?

once we got home the most frequently asked questions were, what did you do all day and did you ever get to take a shower? response: 

this is the twi-fi lounge, hosted by YAHOO movies.

all day every day there were games, contests, prizes, loud music and dancing. SO fun! so much fun, we didn't want to miss out on anything. yes, we had a hotel, but it was only used for a quick shower and a quick cell phone charge. we didn't even sleep there. we did not want to miss out on anything. all this, plus you never knew who was coming to visit...

 

you could even get in a wedding dress & marry cardboard edward.

and um, no. we had to draw the line somewhere :)

we partied all night.

every night they would show one of the three twilight movies. we became deaf from the screaming... but it was fun to be surrounded with people who are passionate about it.

one of the nights they had five of the bands that are featured on the soundtrack put on a concert for us. it was awesome!  the MC was demetri from the volturi.

better stick to acting...love ya charlie.

as i said before, you never knew who was coming to visit us at tent city.

 note to self, never trust the sixty year old "twi-gram" with feathers in her hair standing behind you to take your picture. this is half of linds, completely cut out sister brynne, & the rest of the sisters and another beautiful werewolf, "emily".

this guy quickly became one of our favorites, too. he brought us donuts, and totally stayed and hung out... "emmett" 

"are you guys related?"

"YES! we're twins!"

"no way?! oh, i have to get a picture..

double my pleasure!"

he said that to us!! i know... crazy, right?

being a twin definitely comes in handy when it comes to meeting stars.

grab a snack and a bev, maybe even a little brown sack to breathe heavy into because the premiere was off the hook! stay tuned...

"remember how we got to see the best friend last night?"

last night we went to brady's baseball game & we got to talk to him for a little bit after. it was  k i l l e r ! ! we def miss him like.... 134987 times more now. good thing the boy only has a little bit left!

while we were waiting for him to come out of the dug-out {which honestly felt like eternity}sky pointed out that "this is what the millenium is gonna be like." heck, sign me up! i like that feeling.

i think i'm psychic, because i imagined things would happen today - then they did.

you know, i think i should get my tonsils out because i have strep...

AGAIN!!!!!!

yes, i skipped school. yes, i did miss an a day. yes, i am going to have loads of make-up work. {i hate missing a days, they're the worst.} & yes, while i was in the doctor's office i out-weighed every other patient by 93 pounds {because i ate 1 burger in 2 days i lost 2 pounds, HA! shows how much i eat e'rryday.}

today wasn't all blue & gloom, though.

i spent the day with my lovely mother. {& tay when she got home from school} we laughed and watched the tele, particularly the  "william & kate" movie on lifetime. now, i'm suddenly obsessed with their story of royalty & romance.

then Timps Angels wrote this on my wall on facebook.

Congratulations on next years Student Council. You are going to do awesome, and you can seriously make a change at THS. There are many people who secretly look up to you; never change who you are for anyone, unless its for the better. 

what pals! the whole dramas anonymous thing was getting way out of hand. i soon found it annoying & rude rather than funny & entertaining. yet, people started making ones that said nice things about people. 2 claps for the saints in the world.

the best april fool's day ever.

the long day started at 4:57 a.m. when i woke up.

{1} the assembly

blue team theme was dr. seuss!

{2} at 3:34 my baby girl was born!

rowan paige staples.

i couldn't go up to logan with the rest of my fam & that was sooo sad for me because i'd been looking forward to this day for.e.ver! i wanted to meet & hold my baby girl so badly. tay stayed home to support me.

{3} our last team meeting & get together. i never expected to get so close to a group of people. they all became my best friends & there was never a dull moment.

{4} stomp & the names REVEALED!

there weren't a lot of people at the stomp, so that was a bit of a drag.

i tried to dance my heart out, & i actually had a lot of fun!

i wanted to have fun so i forgot about everything & just danced.

since i'm at the hospital with my baby ro right now,

i don't have access to video/pictures. they'll be posted soon!

along with all my campaining things. :)

the big moment came.

when we walked into the gym my team said a prayer.

i started crying, no big deal.

then we all sat down & i was trippin. my thoughts were churning & my mind was going wild.

they went through all the other canidates & i cheered for them because i was really excited for them all!

{well, except for one. but i'll keep that to myself.}

then the skit came for SB Publicity. i felt my face flush & tears rushed to my eyes.

TARYN.

i walked down from the bleachers & got lacey's jacket.

she gave me the biggest hug & told me how much i deserved it.

then i found blue team members & we were all hugging each other.

tears were FLOODING. like really, i was bawling.

all my emotions from the week had been bottled up inside me & i guess they all decided to come out at once.

the skit for the president came. it was funny, but i was mad because i just wanted it to be over. first came saxton {joke} then cole {joke} then jimmer {joke} then NATE. {for real!}

still, i bawled. all my friends who came to support were hugging me & telling me how proud of me they were.

then tay gave my the biggest hug on earth & started crying with me. love her! my dad & brooks came to support as well, what champs. i was still crying until the lights turned off & it was time to go home.

i can't wait to be a part of student council next year.

i'm excited for them to announce cabinet members,

i need 2 team members to make it. they're some of my favs.

i miss my blue team.

i'm craving summer. i think i have senioritis? {1} i want school to be over. no, scratch that. i need school to be over. i just wanna get oouuuttt! {2} i'm excited for (most of) the seniors to be gone, yep. i said it! bye, bye, bye class of 2011 - your time is up!
