we spent the weekend basking in the beautiful sun of page, arizona. aka lake powell! sky invited us to go with her fam & boy did we party! yes, the 101 degree weather made it necessary for sunscreen lathering every 30 minutes. what a rough life we gingers live.

we didn't want to come home.

after many arguments over the extra 2 tickets, (between brooks & paige mostly)

we decided to take our best friends, sarah & skylar.

& bless our hearts for the terrible picture quality.

probably the only time we haven't been bothered when someone asked if we were twins! haha goodness. they're beautiful people, those boys. our hearts were racing 23498 miles an hour. WE TOUCHED THEM FOR HEAVEN SAKES!!

you guys. we took our very last final today! can't believe school is OVVVAA! a little bittersweet, but mostly sweet because let's be honest - junior year wasn't a pleaser. it's the moment we've been waiting for since the tardy bell rang to first period on august 25. summer. we have some serious plans with sarah & kerbi {& when we say serious, we mean SERIOUS} this summer is going to be unlike any other. so, throw your hands up & shout the hallelujah chorus 'cause some serious things are about to go down.

my mom found out how much i love butterflies {hence the header} & brought me this home from work while i was on my death bed...



i love it!

mainly because they're all pretty. you know, there are some chammy butterfly pictures out there, but you won't find any on this magazine cover, which is great. :)

i love butterflies not only because they're pretty, but because of their story. they start out as nasty little catepillars that are pretty gross. a certain time comes in every catepillars life when they decide to make a cocoon. after awhile, it's time for them to come out of that cocoon.. & it isn't easy. they have to struggle & fight with everything they have in order to break free. & once they do, they become BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES! YAYYYY! :):):)

all jokes aside, life is like butterflies. we all have struggles! they may be different, but regardless, we all have them. & no matter how "big" or "small" they may seem to others, it's still freaking hard for the person going through it. (yes, i dropped the "mormon f bomb") life is rough. sometimes, we can kind of control what goes on by the things we get involved in. the thing that matters most is attitude. i've learned so much about attitude my whole high school career.

it's funny because the times that i've been physically/mentally/emotionally struggling the most, my testimony & my spirituality have grown tre.mendously. & really, that's all that matters. life is the cocoon & we all need to struggle & fight in order to be made into butterflies.

Day 25 - something you're afraid of

this always happens! something happens that day & then i go to blog & the march madness is exactly what occured earlier. today in seminary, the question of the day was "what is one of your phobias" mmm.

i couldn't think of one until someone said "i'm afraid that the person i marry turns out to be someone totally different than i thought." oh my gosh - that is a phobia. one that i'm terrified of happening. it's scary to think that you know someone when you really don't, ya know? i've had my share of burning bridges of trust but i do think that you should always give someone a second chance. always. when those chances turn in to 3rd & 4th & 5th - that's the problem. i'm also afraid of the usual: mice, spiders, kidnapped/raped (although if someone told me not to scream or else something bad would happen, i'd scream at the top of my lungs. it's much better to die right then (if they really will) then go through what most kidnapped children go through). just a thought.

i survived primary elections!!

today i spent most the day with the blue team!!! i'm so excited - i had soo much fun today. :) it was stressful & i'm beat, but i already feel connected with the other canidates & it's just been one day! HOLLA. oh yeah, & i got asked to prom. :)

bada-ba-ba-baaaa, i'm lovin' it. :)

i may or may not have a girl crush on the one & only ke$ha. i've always liked her but i've just recently been introduced to the softer side of her. yeah, i can't change the station. i'm obsessed!! & now i'm off to my student council interview.. kinda freaking out. i had to give 2 speeches today already, so once this is over i can relax :)
