BIG AGG CONCERT SERIES

since there are things going on all the time on campus, we took the opportunity to go to the "Big AGG Concert Series" last saturday night, sponsored by Aggie Radio. bands played from 12 in the afternoon, to 10 at night. everyone there was wearing high waisted jeans, red lipstick, and didn't have their hair done. that's when we knew this was the most hipster event we have ever attended.

have you ever tried deep fried oreos? they are soooo good! (and obviously like... really really healthy) the aggie radio people gave us free popcorn and drinks and some quality hipster entertainment. our favorite one man band (and most anticipated) was shadow puppets. he had previously recorded music onto his iPhone, then had it going while he was singing and playing the guitar. half the time we had no idea what he was saying, but it sounded gnarly. 

after two hours of people-hipster-dancing-to-the-hipster-bands-watching, we decided to leave. thank you radio people, we loved your big agg concert series!

(THURS)DAY NIGHT LIGHTS

we went to our first utah state football game last thursday and it. was. awesome. some of our friends went way early to save seats, so luckily, we were on the third row at the 50 yard line. we totally creamed SUU! (it was especially fun to leave a football game on the winning side because at our high school games, that opportunity was a rare one)

it was also way different from high school football games because where we went, the principal never let us go against the opposing team. we couldn't chant or be disrespectful (which is totally understandable) but i think matters were pushed too far. at USU you can say whatever the heck you want! unsportsmanlike? maybe sometimes. but it was fun to yell a little :)

HOME SWEET HOME

you guys. we're in college. and it's pretty much the greatest thing ever. between all the events, free food, parties, and hunnies (seriously, they're EVERYWHERE) the education aspect is one million times better than high school. of course we have only had 2 official days of school, but as far as we can tell... this semester is going to be killer.

today was "day on the quad". that's where all the clubs set up booths on the quad and try to get people to sign up. we basically went for all the free food, and let me tell ya, we won't be needing dinner tonight. that's the famous aggie blue mint ice cream which, yes, we got for free. (but it was at the IT booth and in order to get it they asked us questions. they asked me if taylor knew my network password and i said "yes." they got mad at us... we tried explaining that we are basically the same person, but that didn't go over very well) the ice cream may not look very good because it was melting in the 3514654 degree weather, but my oh my is that stuff tasty!

hopefully we'll be posting more in our free time and keeping you updated on this next chapter in our lives! we love it up here at utah state and are so excited for this next school year!

i've always loved the furry dogs.  the very first email address i ever had was twolftwinners@aol.com (me and taylor shared it - shocking!) my dream dog has always been a husky and eight below is one of my favorite disney movies.

after reading wolves, boys, and other things that might kill me i've become obsessed! it was hilarious. i honestly thought it was one of the funniest books i have ever read (but that could be because my life is beyond dull and boring right now). the dry and honest humor is what got me. i caught myself laughing out loud sooo many times! and the cover - OH THE COVER! that got me, too.

side note: this book kept me entertained during pieper's swimming lessons this week, along with the cute lifeguard who was teaching the younger class.. i couldn't help but to "need a drink of water" every 5 minutes to catch a glimpse). i thought about jumping in the deep end and forgetting how to swim. // 1 // because hottie would maybe give me some mouth-to-mouth action to bring me back to life and // 2 // i'd probably get put into the little kid swim class. i wouldn't complain.

and because i couldn't resist..... (even though i am NO jacob fan)
